The Banks's departement for trading coins and gold, which was established in 1998, when Schweizerischer Bankverein (SBV) and Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft (SBG) were merged into the United Bank of Switzerland (UBS). It was named Numismatische Abteilung der UBS from 1998 to 2008 and changed its name to Abteilung UBS, Gold & Numismatik from 2008 to 2011. The departement was dissolved in 2011 due to a Management Buyout. Its successor is the Sincona AG (Swiss International Coin Auction AG, Zurich), which no longer forms any part of UBS. |
