Antiquariat M. Lempertz (P. Hanstein) |
Peter Hanstein (1853-1925) purchased the name of M. Lempertz' Buch- und Kunstantiquariat for his comapny in 1875. Firstly exclusively based in Bonn, later also active in Cologne. The company sold books and organised auctions of objects of art. It originates in the company founded by Mathias Lempertz (1821-1886). Book shop and dealer on antiquities (foundet in 1845, became his independent business in 1854) in Bonn. From 1912 Hanstein's sons joined the company, and continued the business after 1925. |
