Ptolemaic gold coin of c. 17.85 grams issued following the reduction of the weight standard in Ptolemaic Egypt. These coins were called trichrysa (triple staters, see P. Cair. Zen. 59021 and 59022), as the were equal to three full weight old staters. They were hence calculated as three times 20 (= 60) drachms. Lit.: C.
