First example of a huge silver coin equivalent to the gold gulden (florin), minted for the first time in Hall in Tyrol in 1586. See Taler. This term falls out of favour and should not be used anymore. Instead please use Guldiner resp. Guldengroschen for Taler-size coins prior to 1519. |
