A byzantine silver coin of 6 grammata (c. 6.8 grams) of the 7th century with the value of 1/12 of the solidus. The coin was introduced under Emperor Herakleios (610–641) in 615 but ceased to be minted by the early eighth century under Emperor Anastasios II (713-715). |
