Danziger Goldm\u00fcnzen mit der Jahreszahl 1577 sind bisher nur als einfache Dukaten oder als (sehr seltene) Goldabschl\u00e4ge von Talerstempeln bekannt. Vermutlich gab die Stadt zur Erinnerung an die siegreich \u00fcberstandene Belagerung durch den polnischen K\u00f6nig Stephan Bathory bei ihrem im September 1577 nach der Belagerung verpflichteten M\u00fcnzmeister Wolter Tallemann auch einen Portugal\u00f6ser (also eigentlich 10 Dukaten) in Auftrag. Von den daf\u00fcr hergestellten Stempeln hat sich nur dieses, als Grabbeigabe in der Berliner Nikolaikirche gefundene St\u00fcck zu 8 Dukaten erhalten.
