Feustel (Feistel), Christof (Christoffer) (1578-1638)

From 1611 to 1617 administrator of the mint in Oldendorf. On April 15th 1618 Feustel took the oath as mintmaster of the mints in Altona and Rinteln (which were administered together by a single mintmaster since 1609 to avoid legal problems for running to mints in one territory [compare Weinmeister (1908) p. 420]. From February 20th 1624-1629 again mintmaster in Altona and Oldendorf.

Sworn in as mintmaster 7-9 July 1618 during the Probationstag in Halberstadt.  

Mintmaster in Hameln from 1615 to 1618. From 1618 to 1620 mintmaster in Altona for the Counts of Schauenburg. From 1620 to 1634 mintmaster in Hamburg and in 1620 for the Duke of Sachsen-Lauenburg. His symbol there is a fist holding a mintmaster's-tool.

Feustel's personal symbol is a Zainhaken (mintmaster's tool).
