Timpf (Tympf), Peter (1595-1693/1696) |
Son of the mintmaster Simon Timpe the Elder, brother of Samuel, Heinrich, Thomas the Elder and Simon the Younger. 1622 together with his brother mintmaster in Schleswig, since around 1628 sole mintmaster, probably until 1636. Mintmaster in Glücksstadt from 1635 to 1638 and from 1640 to 1641 mintmaster in Stade. From 1641 to 1643 mintmaster in Bremervörde. On 23 March 1649 temporarily appointed mintmaster in Swedish-occupied Stade, which was followed by his definitive appointment on 8 September 1649. In the same year tympf wasgiven a temporary deputy in the person of his nephew Andreas Timpf. Timpf signs with his initials P-T or a PT-monogram. Lit.: M.
