The Messamt Königsberg in Prussia was the organizer of the Deutsche Ostmesse (German East Fair), which had taken place in Königsberg since 1920 in order to economically promote the province of East Prussia, which was cut off from the German Reich by the “Polish Corridor” after the First World War. Donation by the Messamt Königsberg to the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1939 (medal on the 25th Ostmesse in 1937 by G. Steer). Lit.: W. Flach, Die deutsche Ostmesse.
