Edmund Rappaport Münzenhandlung |
Established by Edmund Rappaport (1845-1914). At least from 1906 his son Erich (4 July 1877 - 1 April 1943) collborated. In 1914 the elder Rappaport's widow, Adele, took over the company, transferring ownership to her son Erich in 1917, then a soldier since 1914 (or November 1918?). Last known Auction sale in 1928. Rappaport was forced to emigrate in August 1939 and died in London. Erich Rappaport was head of the Numismatische Gesellschaft zu Berlin from 1927 to 1929. Lit.: K.
