The company of Allen & Moore was founded in 1844 by Joseph Moore (1817-1892) and John Allen, who both had been trained as die-engravers by Thomas Halliday. The company resided in Great Hampton Row, Birmingham, and produced a variety of metall objects, including vases, but also medals and tokens. Business was closed in 1855, and Joseph Moore from 1856 again worked as a die-engraver. |
