Name |
Kuhlmann, Heinrich |
Mintmaster in Oberheldrungen/Thuringia from 1621 to January 1622. Kuhlmanns personal symbol are thre flowers with their stems united into a half circle. The mint was operational by late summer 1621 and was closed in January 1622 at the latest. From 1622 mintmaster for the dukes of Sachsen-Coburg in Ostheim vor der Rhön/Bavaria. The same symbol is being used here, but again the name of the individual is not attested in Ostheim. The Eisennach church records though name a certain Heinrich Kuhlmann as "Münzzverwalter" in Ostheim, who presumably is to be identified as the mintaster in question at both places. Lit.: O. Tornau, Die Münzgeschichte der Grafschaft Mansfeld während der Kipperzeit und die Gräflich Mansfeldischen Kippermünzen (1930) p. 54. |
