Strategos in Hypaepa/Lydia during the reign of Septimius Severus. This magistrate coins show on their obverses the portraits of Iulia Domna (Gabii type) and the young Caracalla (pre AD 206). In addition there also appears the portrait of Caraclla with a full beard, which commences in c. AD 209 and can not be differentiated from those of his sole reign. Lit.: W.
