Fischer, Nikolaus (um 1590-) |
Born around 1590 in Nordhausen. Fischer was a mintmaster in Neustadt an der Heide for the proncipality of Saxe-Coburg. In August 1621 he established of Amberg, and worked there independently until 5.11.1621, when he sold the mint to Hans Rentsch and Jonas Riedel. Fischer continued to work in the mint as a coin-administrator before he re-bought the mint Amberg, which he afterwards sold again. Fischer left the upper Palatinate at this time. Lit.: E.
