Prof. Bruno Kittel was a musician, conductor, and director of the Berlin Conservatory. In 1902 he founded the Bruno Kittelschen Choir, one of the most respected choir associations in Europe at the time. Donated by the the sitter to the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1941 (medal of Prof. Kittel by Dautert). Lit.: E.
