Goldsmith. Son of the wismarian mintmaster Jürgen (Georg) Martens, brother to the mintmasters Johann Martens and Michael Martens. From 7th of July 1620 until c. 26th of June 1622 mintmaster in Wismar (from this date Jacob Maue/Maucke/Mache is known to have been his successor). Lit.: M.
