Pfanneberg, Georg (24.11.1869 - 17.01.1946)

Collector, dealer, numismatist and private scholar in Hanover.

Pfanneberg also published various journals on collecting activities. He was in close contact with the coin dealer Henry Seligmann of Hannover, for whom he initially edited his auction catalogs. After Seligmann's death in 1933 and the takeover of the business by his widow Alma Seligmann, later Alma Lichtenberg, Pfanneberg certified the value of her coin collection as a member of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts as requested for the emigration of Alma Lichtenberg and her new husband. In 1939 Pfanneberg bought her collection of gold and silver coins.
