Coin collector and for more thean 30 years a board member of the Swiss Numismtic Society. Numismatic author. Born in Rige, Grossmann came to Bern with his family in 1862. He later moved to Geneva and ran his own manufacturing company. Grossmann's important collection of Swiss coins was sold by Leo Hamburger in Auction 81 on 13 December 1926. Lit.: E. Demole, + Th.
