Friedländer, Dr. Max Jacob (05.06.1867 - 11.10.1958) |
German, from 1954 Dutch art historian. From 1896 to 1933 Friedlaender worked at the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin, and became its director in 1924. In addition he was director of thr Kupferstichkabinett from 1908 to 1930. Because of his Jewish descent Friedländer was forced to resign in 1933. Donation by Director Dr M. Friedländer to the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1908. |
