Born in Vienna in 1786, Rosner died on 11 January 1854.

Coin and medal engraver at the k.k. Hauptmünzamt (Imperial an Royal Central Mint) in Vienna under Ferdinand I.

Rosner was an engraver's assistant at the viennese mint and was appointed coin engraver in Prague in 1833. Together with Franz Zeichner he worked, among other things, on the distribution and ejection jetons for the Hungarian coronation in 1830, and produced dies for regular coinage.
