French medalist and die-engraver, attested between 1798 and 1807. The name, known only from the signature George f[ecit], may be a first name. Dies for coins issued by the Dutch Kingdom (Louis Napoleon), which was one of Napoleon's satellite states, were cut by George. Lit.: L.
