Electrical engineer. Resided in London from 1899, became Director of the London branch of Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon in 1921. Art and coin collector. Wüthrich's coin collectionw as sold in two auctions in 1971 (Auction 45 on 25-27 November 1971 of Münzen und Medaillen AG, Basels) and in 1984 (Aukcion 14 on 7 November 1984 of Spink & Son Numismatics, Zurich).
