According to Plutarchus 51.1. in 42 BC prefect of the engineers. Cicero, Ad Brutum 1.6.4 and 17.3 names him for 43 BC as an officer of Brutus. Legatus pro praetore for Brutus in 42 BC. As Gaius Flavius, praefectus fabrum, attested in 42 BC at Philippi. Lit.: T. R. S. Broughton, The Magistrates of the Roman Republic II (1952) pp. 353, 365, 367. All testimony seems to refer to a single individual: RRC no. 504 in 43/42 BC. |
