Philologist. Professor at the University of Frankfurt an der Oder, to which Westermann bequeathed his coin collection. Purchased from the Friedrichs-Gymnasium in Frankfurt an der Oder resp. its library in 1858 by the Münzkabinett Berlin, who used those funds to rebuild buildings. Came into the School's possesion through the earlier bequest mentionted above by Prof Westermann in the 18th century. Lit.: Friedländer - von Sallet ²(1877) p. 32. |
