	The personal physician of king Frederick II of Prussia. Known collector of coins and medals. Parts of Moehsen's collection were purchased by the Academy in 1793. When king Friedrich Wilhelm III around 1798 ordered the reorganisation of various collections in Berlin Moehsen's collection was moved from the Academy into the Royal Coin cabinet.
