Coin collector and Numismatist. Founding member of the Austrian Numismatic Society. Member of the so-called Missong circle, specializing in coins of the Roman emperor Aurelianus. Author of 'Die Münzen des Kaisers Aurelianus, seiner Frau Severina und der Fürsten von Palmyra. 1.-2. Abschnitt (1881) 3. Abschnitt (1882)'.
