Elster, Robert (1883-1955)

German sculptor and medalist.

Elster hails from a family of modelers in Harzgerode. He first attended the Royal Art School in Berlin, then from 1906 on the educational establishment of the Royal Museum of Applied Arts. Elster then worked as a sculptor in Berlin, where he belonged to the ‘Ateliergemeinschaft Klosterstrasse’.
