Ophelas

Third magistrate attested in Athens in 135/134 BC. ΟΦΕΛΟΥ is to be read as Genitive form of Ophelas (Thompson 1961, p. 578). From Bate. Son of Habron. In his younger days victor at the Panathenaic games, Hipparchos in 157/156 BC and Epimeletes in Delos in 148/147 BC (Habicht 1991, p. 19; H. B. Mattingly, Numismatic Chronicle 157, 1997, p. 258).
