Timarchides

Second magistrate attested in Athens in 149/148 BC. The monogram is most probably to be read as ΤΙΜΑΡΧΙΔΗΣ. From Thorikos. Belonging to the same family as his colleague Polykles (first magistrate of this issue) - either his brother (Thompson 1961, p. 579) or his cousin (Habicht 1991, p. 7) - he was member of a family of famous Athenian sculptors. Hieropoios in 150 BC (Habicht 1991, p. 7 with further references).
