Croker, John (21.10.1670 - 21.03.1741)

Born in Saxony as Johann Crocker, a master juweller, who migrated to London in 1691.

There Croker worked as a medalist and die-engraver. He was appointed Chief engraver at the Royal mint in 1705, a position he held until his death in 1741.
