[Cosconia] Myrton

Magistrate and stephanephoros in Smyrna/Ionia in AD 84.

Her name (lacking the first name Cosconia) and sometimes with the title of Stephanophoros and “daughter of the people” appears on pseudo-autonomous coins issued during the reign of Domitian (RPC II nos. 1012-1017) as well as on an inscription from Smyrna. All coins combine her name with that of the Strategos Rhegeinos, and some also with that of the Roman proconsul Frontinus, providing a date for her time of office.
