Person

Name

Rhegeinos

Magistrate and strategos in Smyrna/Ionia in AD 84.

Rheginus' name (sometimes in combination with the title of Strategos) appears on pseudo-autonomous coins issued during the reign of Domitian (RPC II nos. 1012-1017). All coins combine his name with that of the Stephanophoros Myrton, some also with that of the Roman proconsul Frontinus.
