	Archaeologist and director of the Römisch-Germanisches Museums in Cologne. The coin collection of the Münster University keeps 16 mainly Roman Republican coins, which Fritz Fremersdorf had offered to Peter Berghaus in 1956, when the later built what would became the University's coin collection. In 1959 Cologne University did acquire coins from Fremersdorf, too.
