Dr Jochen Krengel, Professor of Economics and Finance. The Institut für Altertumskunde of Cologne University was able to purchase this important collection of 307 Late Roman and Byzantine coins on 12 January 2008, which was built by Krengel and his wife, the historian and numismatist Dr Elke Krengel. The collection consists of 236 bronze, 27 silver, and 44 gold coins. |
