Director of the Istanbul Department of the German Archaeological Institute from 1929 to 1938, and President of the German Archaeological Institute in Berlin from 1937 to 1945, as well as representative of the Prussian Museums in Turkey. In 1933 Schede transferred six coins to the Münzkabinett Berlin. |
