Verres, Dr. Rudolf (20.11.1898 - 08.04.1945) |
Dr. Rudolf Verres was working for the Berlin Museums, firstly with the Byzantine collection from 1928, and 1934 joined the Paintings Gallery. Verres left Berlin on 17.08.1934 to become the director of the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Cologne. Verres was killed in action near Vienna in 1945. In 1934 Verres donated a medal on the 1900 Paris World exhibition to the Münzkabinett Berlin, which he had been given by Georg Rettelbusch, Berlin Halensee. |
