Merchant in Zurich. Coin collector. The Schinz Talerkabinett was bequeathed to the City Library of Zurich in 1874 (later Central Library). Since 1935 it is kept in the Swiss National Museum, Landesmuseum Zurich. The collection consists of 9,709 coins of European states from the late medieval to the early modern period. |
