	Josef von Kolb was a curator of the k. k. Zentralkommission and worked for the Museum Francisco-Carolinum, the later Museum of Upper Austria. As a coin collector Kolb was part of the so-called Missong circle. His collection is now in Linz, only the parts of Tacitus and Florianus came to the coin cabinet in Vienna.
