Dr Schilling, Bismarckstrasse 27, Crossen an der Oder. In the cabinet's accession book his name is written as Dr. Schiller in error. Purchase by the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1934. The correspondence kept in the Münzkabinett's archive tells us that Dr Schilling only was the mediator for this purchase, as he writes that the finder of the Mansfeld coin in question has accepted the price of 50 RM offered, and that the money should be transferred to himself (i.e. Schilling). |
