Dasselmann, Hans

Hans Dasselmann (or Daßelmann).

Mintmaster in Halberstadt 1619, in Calenberg 1621, and in Peine (Bishopric Hildesheim) in 1622.

Citizen of Halberstadt, originally trained as a tailor.

Dasselmann in 1619 became a temporary minmaster in Halberstadt. From Easter 1621 he was mintmaster in Calenberg. On 20 February 1622 Dasselmann was appointed mintmaster in Peine. After accusations of producing poor coins, he was arrested on 18 May 1622. When the mintwarden deemed this coins good on the next day, Dasselmann immediately was released. Dasselmann himself asked for his dissmissal on 17 August 1622.
