Medalist in Augsburg. Coin and medal engraver at the Neuss company. Continued the medal publishing company established by his father Johann Jakob Neuss, who had died in December 1847. A medal for the accession of Emperor Ferdinand I in 1835 was made by him or Johann Jakob the Younger Neuss, as was a medal for the amnesty at the coronation of Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria as King of Lombardo-Venetia in Milan in 1838.
