Coin dealer, member of the Frankfurt family of coin dealers. Cahn became a Swiss citizen in 1948. He worked for the Münzen und Medaillen AG in Basels, together with his brother Herbert A. Cahn. he published numerous articles on Swiss and South german coins, monetary history, and Swiss coin finds.
