Italian medalist and die-engraver. 1702 a master of the guild of goldsmiths in Rome. Hamerani became sucessor to his father as die-engraver at the Papal mint. Appointed court medalist in 1706. Lit.: L. Forrer, Biographical Dictionary of Medallists II (1904) pp. 394-398 (1685-1744). |
