Mintmaster in Hildesheim from 1614 to 1621.

After suggesting to the city council of Hildesheim to start minting again in November 1613, Weber was appointed mintmaster for the city on 20 October 1614. In June 1615 he was presented and inaugurated as mintmaster on the Halberstädter Kreisprobationstag.

In May 1616 Weber's coins were judged as too light on the Lüneburger Kreisprobationstag. Since the city council was not ready to share the dangers of a possible legal punishmen, he quit his job, and the minting in Hildesheim stopped until June 30th 1618. Then Weber resumed minting, and he did so until 21 May 1621, when the city council stopped the minting once again for a while.
