Publius Vitellius (-31 n. Chr.)

Roman proconsul in Pontus and Bithynia in AD 17/18.

His name does appear in combination with his title of anthypatos on the coins of Nicemedia/Bithynia.

Comes of Germanicus. Uncle of the later emperor Vitellius. Praefectus Aerarii militaris in AD 31. He comitted suicide during the Seianus scandal.
