Jean-Henri Hoffmann, coin dealer and numismatist in Paris. Originates from Hamburg. Active from about 1846. First auction sale in 1856: First known sale to the Berlin Münzkabinett in 1848. Parts of his collection were sold in 1886 and 1887, the remainder after his death by Rollin & Feuardent (2 May 1898). Lit.: A.
