Blau, Consul Dr. Otto (21.04.1828 - 26.02.1879) |
Orientalist and Prussian envoy to Constantinople. Blau travelled in Asia Minor in 1854 and 1855, in Persia in 1857, and in Albania, Montenegro and Herzegovina in 1861. Blau was a friend of the translator and collector Dr Emil Andreas Sperling (1819-1863) and also worked as a (coin) agent for Anton Prokesch von Osten.
