Resident (embassador) of the Electorate of Brandenburg in London between 1685 and 1696. Following his death on 21 December 1696 in London, Bonnet's coins were bequeathed to the elector and entered the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1698 (an inventory is kept in the archives).
