Gerhard, Prof. Eduard (29.11.1795 - 12.05.1867) |
German archaeologist. In 1829 co-founder of the German Archaeological Institute. Gerhard was working for the Royal Museums since 1833, and became a professor in 1844. Donation of a drachm of Alexander the Great to the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1845, purchase of an aureus of Postumus in 1860.
