Macridy Bey, Theodor (1872-1940) |
Theodor Macridy Bey (Theodoros Makridis) of Constantinople. Son of Konstantinos Makridis (1825-1909). Th. Makridi was an official of the Ottoman Departement of Antiquities, and from 1892 a member of staff of the Museum of Archaeology in Istanbul. From 1931 to 1940 he served as the director of the Benaki-Museums in Athens. Purchases by the Münzkabinett Berlin between 1891 and 1901. In 1931 electrum coins were bought. |
